Q Why are the 1974 county boundaries used?

A When the project was established in 1989 a decision was made to use the 1974 boundaries (May 1975 in Scotland). To change the data to reflect the current boundary situation would be very costly and time consuming compared to the gain of doing it. If you are not sure which county the memorial might be in please search only by town name.
