Physical Description

Stained glass window with three elaborate central lights. The figure of a Saint is depicted in each of the three lights: St George (left); St Michael (centre), pointing to the banner of the Cross and vanquishing the Dragon enemy; St Louis (right). The inscription is beneath the figures and across the three lights.

St Louis and St George are the warrior Saints of France and England respectively. According to an unknown publication, the saints take no part in the combat, referring to Heaven. The figure of St Louis is modelled on a portrait by Giotto in Florence.
