Physical Description

A reredos in three panels; central panel inlaid in coloured marbles with mosaic picture of St George slaying the dragon; names in black in the two side panels of white stone; borders and frieze of coloured mosaic.

13 July 1944: The church was destroyed by enemy bombing. Although some parts of the mosaic borders are damaged, the three main panels are in reasonable condition.
