TEN PLAQUES IN SEMI CIRCLE WITH STONE OF REMEMBRANCE IN CENTRE
STONE OF REMEMBRANCE IS PINK GRANITE WITH SLATE PLAQUE WITH INSCRIPTION IN ITALICS. TEN SLATE PLAQUES IN SEMI-CIRCLE BEHIND THE STONE SET IN PAIRS ON GRANITE TABLETS WITH GRANITE PILLARS AT EACH END OF THE SEMI CIRCLE. LAST TWO SLATE PLAQUES ARE BLANK. MEMORIAL IS BACKED MY SHRUBS.

THE ORIGINAL WAR MEMORIAL PLAQUES ARE ON THE LIBRARY WALL IN A BUSY STREET AND IT IS BELIEVED THAT THIS NEW MEMORIAL WAS ERECTED IN ORDER TO GIVE SPACE FOR THE REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADES. |
