Co-ordinator's Comments:

The Railway accident referred to was in fact the Quintinshill Rail Disaster in which a total of 227 people, mainly soldiers of the 1/7th (Leith) Battn Royal Scots, were killed. In addition to the plaque there is also a stained glass window in Plasnewynydd Church.
