CROSS SHAPED LIGHT COLOURED STONE SET INTO AND ORNATELY CARVED DARKER STONE FRAME. INSCRIPTION IN BLACK LETTERING
REGIMENTAL BADGE DEPICTED IN RELIEF AT THE TOP CENTR EOF THE TABLET AND BRIG GEN MAXWELL'S MEDALS ARE DEPICTED IN RELIEF BELOW THE MAIN INSCRIPTION. GOLD PAINTED CROSS AT THE TOP CENTRE OF THE FRAME. ORNATELY CARVED GRAPE AND VINE LEAF BORDER ON THE FRAME
