'THIS VESSEL TOOK PART IN THE EVACUATION FROM/DUNKIRK IN 1940, UNDER THE COMMAND OF/SKIPPER MR WALTER READ AND HIS 15 YEAR OLD /SON JOE. SHE RESCUED 3000 TROOPS FROM/THE BEACHES, FERRYING THEM TO THE WAITING/WARSHIPS UNDER ENEMY GUNFIRE. SHE THEN/WORKED DURING WW2 FOR THE ROYAL NAVY AS/FLEET TENDER AT CHATHAM'
