PAINTING DEPICTS MICHAEL RENNIE IN A LIFEBOAT WITH SEVERAL CHILDREN. THE BOAR IS AWASH WITH WATER. HIS RIGHT ARM IS POINTING TOWARDS THE RESCUE SHIP, H.M.S. HURRICANE.
