THREE-STEPPED SQUARE BASE SURMOUNTED BY LARGE PLINTH, PEDESTAL AND FIGURE OF A SERVICEMAN IN FULL KIT. NAMES INSCRIBED ON SLATE TABLETS THE SIDES OF THE PLINTH WITH ADDITIONAL NAMES FOR KOREA AND ADEN ON SMALL BRONZE PLAQUES
WEST FACE: LAUREL WREATH ABOVE THE MAIN INSCRIPTION AND GOLD CROSS NEAR THE TOP OF THE COLUMN. EAST FACE: CROSS CARVED INTO THE STONEWORK NEAR THE TOP OF THE COLUMN
