SMALL PLAQUE: THIS MEMORIAL WAS UNVEILED BY MARTIN FALNNERY, M.P., FOR THE HILLSBOROUGH SHEFFIELD CONSTITUENCY ON SUNDAY 13TH JULY 1986 IN THE PRESENCE OF COUNCILLOR DAVID BLUNKETT, LEADER OF THE COUNCIL, COUNCILLOR VIVIENNE NICHOLSON, CHAIR OF THE LIBRARIES AND ARTS COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND OFFICERS AND VETERANS OF THE INTERNATIONAL BRIGADE OF THE CITY OF SHEFFIELD.

Comments: (2000) THE PLAQUE WAS UNED THE DESK OF THE SENIOR PLANNING OFFICER WHO WAS LARGELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PEACE GARDENS). DUE TO THE POOR CONDITION OF THE PLAQUE IT IS NOT PLANNED TO DISPLAY IT AGAIN.
