Physical Description

CROSS SHAPED PLINTH SURMOUNTED BY OCTAGONAL COLUMN AND BRONZE STATUE OF PEACE STANDING ON A DRAGON. ON THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE PLINTH ARE BRONZE SEATED FIGURES OF A SOLDIER, A SAILOR, A NURSE AND A PRISONER. EACH STATUE IS ONE AND A HALF TIMES LIFE SIZE. WHOLE STANDS ON A PAVED AREA WITH THREE STEPSS LEADING UP TO IT ON ONE SIDE. WW1 INSCRIPTION CARVED AROUND THE TOP OF THE PLINTH AND WW2 INSCRIPTION IS ON A BRONZE PLAQUE ON THE PLINTH BELOW THE SOLDIER FIGURE
