LEFT LIGHT: ANGEL REPRESENTS TRIAL AND SACRIFICE WITH THE CROWN OF THORNS

CENTRE LIGHT: ANGEL REPRESENTS VICTORY AND TRIUMPH IN THE RESURRECTION WITH THE TORCH

RIGHT LIGHT: ANGEL REPRESENTS CHRISTIAN DUTY WITH THE BAPTISM OF AN INFANT INTO THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

THE FIGURES ARE SET AGAINST THE BRIARS OF LIFE AND THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. AT THE TOP OF THE WINDOW ARE THE SERAPHIM AND CHERUBIM. INSCRIPTION IS INSCRIBED AT THE BASE OF THE WINDOW IN THE GLASS

Comments:WINDOW WAS PRESENTED IN 1920 BY JAMES, FOURTH MARQUESS OF SALISBURY, IN MEMORY OF HIS THREE NEPHEWS. THEIR FATHER WAS LORD WILLIAM CECIL, THEN BISHOP OF EXETER. HE HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN RECTOR OF HATFIELD
