Comments: REFERENCES: BOOK ON CURIOSITIES IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE BY JOHN LUCAS P 60 THE SOLDIERS WERE DISCOVERED BURIED IN A FIELD ADJOINING HOLMAN'S BRIDGE IN 1818. IT WAS THE SCENE OF AN ENGAGEMENT IN 1642 BETWEEN CHARLES I'S TROOPS COMMANDED BY PRINCE RUPERT AND THE PARLIAMENTARY TROOPS WHO HELD AYLESBURY. THE TOMB WAS ERECTED BY LORD NUGENT
