PEDESTAL SURMOUNTED BY A SOLDIER RAISING FIELD GLASSES TO HIS EYES WITH LEFT HAND AND HOLDING REVOLVER IN LOWERED RIGHT HAND. FIGURE OF A MOTHER WITH HER ARM OUTSTRETCHED TOWARDS HIM STANDS AT THE FOOT OF THE PLINTH

FOUR FIGURATIVE RELIEF PANELS PLACED ON EACH SIDE OF PEDESTAL. FIRST ONE DEPICTS SOLDIERS MARCHING, SECOND ONE DEPICTS AIRMEN, THIRD ONE DEPICTS SOLDIERS WITH CAMELS AND FOURTH ONE DEPICTS A NAVAL SCENE.
