You can also get in touch with the War Memorials Trust which is a registered charity established to help protect and preserve war memorials in the UK. The Trust administrates a grants scheme. As well as the contact details for their Conservation Officer they also have a lot of useful information available on-line regarding the care and upkeep of war memorials.
